We thank you for visiting the Who Murdered Robbin Brandley site. We would like to hear from you.
Let us be perfectly clear, we think law enforcement – police, sheriff and District Attorneys – perform their duties with dedication, have an intense passion for justice and look out for the victim’s best interests. We have nothing but sincere admiration and appreciation for law enforcement and the work they do. We hear many, many of our victim friends and acquaintances relate wonderful stories about the professionalism and kindness of their investigators, prosecutors, judges, and prison and parole officials.
Unfortunately, the victim is not usually a top consideration of law enforcement and the judicial system. Victims are often overlooked, our concerns not addressed. This is why California victims supported Marsy’s Law – Proposition 9 which was soundly approved by the voters in 2008.
Marsy’s Law gives victims a constitutional right to participate in the law enforcement, judicial, punishment and the parole phases of criminal procedures. It also mandates that victims be treated with respect.
We believe our situation, as described in the website, is an anomaly, not typical of the treatment that victims and survivors of murder receive throughout the criminal justice process. But, victim abuse and injustice does happen, and too often.
We do not think we are alone. We would like to hear from you. If you have been denied your Marsy’s Law rights in California, we would like to hear from you.
